17th Worcester District: LeBoeuf vs. Fullen
State Rep. David H.A. LeBoeuf looks to be on his way to reelection.
With about 95% of the vote in, the Worcester Democrat collected nearly 4,672 votes, to 3,247 for his opponent, Republican Paul Fullen.
This will be LeBoeuf's third two-year term in the House.
Fullen, a firefighter, also lost to LeBoeuf in 2018.
In April, LeBoeuf was arrested for drunken driving, after which he spoke about facing and accepting his personal issues.
"They tried to burn me down and they're never going to burn me down," LeBoeuf said Tuesday, once his reelection was clear.
The 17th Worcester District covers parts of Worcester and Leicester.
It was redistricted last year to become a majority-minority opportunity district.
