          Albert John Luthuli[a] (c.&#; – 21 July ) was a South African anti-apartheid activist, traditional leader, and politician who served as the President-General of the African National Congress from until his death in

          Luthuli was born to a Zulu family in at a Seventh-day Adventistmission in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
